I've been a wine aficionado all my adult life (45yrs) and consider myself fortunate to live in a country that makes wine as good as anywhere in the world.
There is no style or variety that I dislike and I consider it my sacred duty to consume a representative sample of the best on offer although somewhat restricted by price. (I won't pay silly money just because something has a big reputation) The sheer variety that is available these days is staggering compared to 40 years ago and I struggle just to make a decision when I step into my local wine-barn. I will start by posting a picture of Australia's best red wine Penfold's Grange Hermitage. Unfortunately out of my price range these days at $650. on release, but I have enjoyed my share in the past, appropriately aged for 20yrs or so. ![]()
