Trading my Sub C for a DateJust II

Thinking of trading my Sub C for a LNIB datejust II. Black, fluted, roman. My watch, which is 93% full set and $500. Have not been a DJ fan but since I got the BLNR I dont wear the Sub C much. The DJ is different and more classy than the Sub C. DJ is full set 99%. Any thought appreciated.

Thx

Hmmm. I definitely wouldn't pay $500 more for this trade.

I went from DJ to Sub but each to their own. You know what will work for you. Also, if you have a BLNR, then you don't need a Sub, which is very similar.

Imo, I'd keep the sub c vs the date just. The sub c to me is a very versatile watch, one that you can wear causally or formal whereas the date just ii looks off to me when wearing it with a pair of jeans. I realize the blnr is a similar watch but won't help you when you're diving more than 100m. Lol. Jokes aside, looking at resale, it looks like you can always find a dj for less than retail whereas the subs mostly retain their value.

I'd try and sell the subc outright. You'll get more money out of it, and may have a little more negotiating room.

I have traded some nice watches I was not wearing and have no regrets so far. Having the BLNR makes the sub easier to flip. Some others have said for you to retail your sub and I agree with that. Good luck with either way you proceed.

IMO I would keep the Sub, its more versatile. If you get the DJII you'll have 2 watches with PCL, I think a contrast is better. But if you really want the DJ II, go for it. Trade seems pretty fair.

Thx all for opinions. I also have Paneria 372, 190, and 005 so I have alot of options. Many tool watches. The DJ give me something else I dont seem to have. Honestly they are giving me about $6500 for the Sub C which is what used one are going her for on the for sale page.

You really should do what makes you happy... this is not a lopsided trade though the cash may unnecessary.
