I currently have ADT at home and it works ok so far, I am now off contract and I wonder if there are better company that I should switch my home alarm service to?

ADT is a good company, have you upgraded to Pulse by chance? If you haven't I would consider it - and install a CC monitoring system as a side-line option.

Yeah, I am thinking about installing video system which I can get from Costco, and it doesn't require additional service charge per month :)

I think that's the best bet. ADT had supported video surveillance for a while but stopped offering it because it was buggy and expensive to install. You can't go wrong with a standalone video system along with ADT Pulse. Both will provide you with the protection and security you want and need and ADT has always been great for us - been with them for many, many years.
