Geneve and Basel just got back

Hi guys got back from Switzerland last night had a great trip Basel was very good lots of interesting watches to see. Also spent the day in Geneve before we had to go home. What a beautiful place, i am going to get back there as soon as funds permit!

The ladies on the manufactuers watch stands were all stunning JJ would be in heaven there. Watches and lovely ladies what more could a guy want. Not sure what we looked at more the watches or ladies all good!

Was not able to take many pics at the Rolex stand one of the guys there got quite shirty with me for having a camera. But did get pic of the watch i wanted to see, i know there are some mixed feelings about it but i love it. A true marvel of engineering and a genuine non bling tool watch to boot.

We visited the Bucherer AD in Geneve, i have never seen so many Rolex watches in one place (before you ask no ss daytonas or milgauss GV)
see pics below i would say it shows about 10% of what was on display.

The store manager said he had heard the rumors there had been problems with green crystal production. But he had NOT BEEN TOLD ANYTHING OFFICIALLY FROM ROLEX.

He did tell me that the new Deep Sea Sea Dweller will replace the old one and it WILL be discontinued. Hope you like pics

regards Sean

Hi Sean
Thanks for the report
I can't understand why anyone would get annoyed at you taking a photo of the Rolex watches on display, makes no sense at all to have an exhibition to display products and prohibit photos
In any event it sounds like you had a great time, pity you didn't show us a photo of those 'lovely ladies' from the show.

1) When visiting Switzerland, is Bucherer _the_ AD to see?

2) Is it possible to go to Rolex and visit the factory?

3) There are no price advantages to buying a new Rolex in Switzerland, right?

Can someone please educate me.
