I was shocked by the color when I saw it. Even more shocked when I saw the UK price is within 10 GBP of the w/g DDII?!? Rolex.. you must be joking!

Sorry but I don't like it, it's just too blue. IMO it would have looked much better in a darker shade of blue.

If it's a slow seller, it'll be rare... :)
But I agree, I don't like that color of blue. I like blue. But not that blue. |

I will reserve final judgment until I see the thing in person... But if the color is the same in person as it is in this photo... I will not only walk away, I'll run! It's hideous!!!! If I didn't know it existed I would pass it off as the worst fake or aftermarket paint job I'd ever seen!
And what was wrong with the original Submariner DEEP JEWEL Blue color?????? People expect rich colors from Rolex, not a flat spray-paint color blue! Paul |

I guess the color will mellow down from the electric blue to a sky blue once exposed to the sun, anyway I like it and I will buy,
I expect the discount in the grey market at first to be around 32% off retail and once it will become a slow seller (when all the vertical collections will have one, posers will have one, rich Greek kids will have one) I expect around 35% off. |

It's a little intense for Rolex, but nothing wrong with something different that "pops" a little. Besides, It's Just a dial color, its still a submariner.
Plus we always see these watches as huge computer screen filling pics. Even if that is the shade, it probably looks better on the wrist, seeing it in its actual scale. Every one repeat : " WE ARE ROLEX FANS, AND WE FEAR CHANGE"......:) |
