What is this?

My dad bought a Rolex from somebody he knew for about $50. We are trying to find out what it is, and how much its really worth. Did alot of searching about on google, and found alot of similar ones, but nothing exactly the same. So here I am.

We know there should be information on the inside, but we dont know how to get into it, nor do we want to in case we loose something. The watch does not currently run, and was stopped before we received it.

My 15 yr old son bought that exact same watch and a women's size for his girlfriend so they match. I think he paid $20USD for both while we were vacationing in Mexico.

And with a diamond dial too

Any chance of getting that $50 back?

a rolex is perfect. that watch is just a mess, the details are muddy. the coronet on the dial is definitely not legible as all rolex coronets are of this era, the biggest thing is the placement of the lume dots and 'diamonds' on the dial are NOT even or symmetric

The coronet on the clasp is so large, it's almost the size of the case hahahaha!!!!! Those pictures made me laugh real good

There are other things wrong with it that I won't say.... Don't want these people correcting the fakes

Thanks again.~

We tend to come across some very... interesting people and occasionally get a treasure out of things. This one happened not to work out. I didn't figure it to be real, but it was worth a shot. :>

Riverratcat,

Be conscious some here get aggressive about Rolex watches, because many come on here trying to see if we can spot high quality fakes, to test the quality of their fakes before trying to sell them. In your case I think this is genuinely a hit and hope that you may have got lucky. There are at least 10 faults with your watch, on the scale of bad to high quality fakes this is closer to bad, but to your point $50 is not going to end the world.

Stay here long enough you may end up buying a real one. After all its only a Rolex if it is real, otherwise it is a product trying to steal another items identity.

Usually you get what you pay for but in this case you didn't even get that! Might be good for target practice
