The Sea Dweller 4000! A couple of Saturday pics
The Sea Dweller 4000 is really a cool timepiece that I enjoy wearing. However, I made the mistake of trying on the 42mm Day-Date 2, and have the itch to buy one...While I would like to sell the sea-dweller to make some room for the next purchase, I figured I would take a couple of pics of the 116600 to share with the TRF family this afternoon.

Looks good. I'd imagine it'd be hard for me to part with the SD if I owned one.

It's quite already just to call this the "Sea-Dweller." The old one and the new one are both rated to 4000 feet, so it's not quite the descriptor people use it for. Also, the new DD is 41mm, not 42.
I definitely recommend flipping it if you're going to gold, though! |

I'd keep it. It'll probably be my only steel Rolex. That's high praise from me.

I'd keep it. Looking at those pics I'm starting to think that it is the best watch Rolex currently makes and a future classic.

Excuse my imprudence, sell the car you will even be able to buy a Daytona Platinum likely. I know that might not be the right call though

Nice pics! The SDC would pair nicely with a DD2 if that's an option.

Thanks for the input and comments. The 116600 is a very comfortable watch, and flies under the radar. I do like it, so we shall see what happens!

I'd argue against getting rid of it...just save longer for the DD. The two would be a great combo IMO.

Both is ideal but I would sell for the DDII if the only way.

Thanks! I'm sure it is a debatable color (yet I LOVE it)!! It is a 2003 Z06, and it just turned 8k miles this weekend! As far as the Sea-dweller, I don't have to get rid of it to buy the grail, but it would help. I have a 114060 and a 116610LV at the moment...Very partial to both...The sea dweller just doesn't speak to me like my other two stainless models...

Regardless, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Good luck with the sale and new watch what ever it might be. |
