Trade advice.... again.
Realise that my 5711 (white) is not the most loved in my collection as I have been considering various trades. None have come live as realise it's rather special after all and it gets a fair share of wrist time and trading a patek for a diffrent brand feels wrong. But having a 5712 as well I would something a bit diffrent.
I have the opportunity to trade against a 5711r but need to add aprox usd 8000 in between. Advise please ... Many thanks in advance and happy holidays |

5711r is a beautiful piece and very rare as well. I think if you don't wear the white dial 5711 and the price difference doesn't bother you then I would go for it. From a valuation stand point I think it sounds about right. I see the 5711r's go for around $29-30k+ and I see the 5711 white dials go for around 21-22k (a chunk less than their blue dialed counterparts) so I think the numbers sound right. Here's an old pic of mine to help in your decision making :)

You may also want to consider a 5167R. The brown dial on the 5167R is absolutely stunning, and I also love the tropical strap and the Aquanaut double deployant, but a bit more casual, although I think it can be dressed up just fine. The 5167R should be in the same price range as the 5711R.

What about a 5205 or something with an AC (5726 for nautilus). Do you def want another nautilus?

I see no reason not to if you like the 5711r more.
Even if pp would swap a dial, I imagine the cost of doing so alongside having a service dial that doesn't match papers might erase any financial gains to be had...not that that's where you were going with that, just what came to my head. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Did someone say "gold" and "5711"?
