Proper Dial Matchup - Help

Congrats to my brother on this new beautiful GMT.

Our goal is to make this thing all original.

Reference 1675

Serial: 1,3**,***

Is the bezel insert correct?

Are the hands correct?

Dial?

The bracelet is for an old submariner i believe.

Any input is appreciated! Thanks

Bezel insert correct - No
Hands - No
Dial - No / You need a gilt..

A very nice mega fat font insert - $800-$1,200
Hands to match dial including small 24 hour hand - $1,500 +
Gilt Dial - HEFTY $2k ++++

Just general numbers as an estimate..

You have work ahead of you to get that watch correct. The correct dial is a few thousand dollars alone - if you are fortunate enough to find one.

Wear it and enjoy or sell it and buy one that's correct, to expensive usually to find correct parts. m

You cannot make it "original". It is only original once and replacing parts is the opposite of original.

As mentioned, it is expensive to return it to "period correct".

The bracelet is correct as the GMT was offered with the extension bracelet, likely to fit over a flight suit. Exp II's were also offered with that bracelet - it isn't really a "Sub Bracelet" alone.

Incorrect dial aside; has the dial been relumed? Or is the camera doing funny things?

Just leave it the way it is. It's pretty nice.
