the one at 24k has everything original from rolex- all service papers original box everything by the sounds of it.
The second one has a rolex box not the original- secondly it has been serviced by themselves and not rolex. I am sure there are other differences to be found. These differences are very important to collectors who want everything original and proof that the watch has only been touched by rolex and when servicing was done. rolex service papers on vintage models ar every very valuable too when alongside the original watch

the only difference I can see is the serial run,the newer one is cheaper.
I will look closer, there has to be a better reason than that |

The one sale has been on there for four days already and has no bidders. The starting bid is $11,250 but it is listed as having a retail value of $25,825. The other sale has been on there since April 13th and has been bid up to that $24,250 price and is due to be over in 40 minutes. So they are very close in value as far as asking price. The key to the one being a successful sale is the paperwork and history is all there where the other sale has only a watch that cannot be confirmed except through it's serial number and, even then, there is no telling what was done to this watch along the way.
Steve: That seller was the one I listed about a week ago when someone was asking for good E-bay or otherwise good Rolex sellers. I listed chrmer3 as somebody that always seems to have nice sales with good prices and the watches always look their best. I have him listed in my Favorites in E-bay and constantly look at what he has to sell. I think that is a great watch and someone will get a nice piece of history. Terry Newton

the watch that has the starting bid of 11,250 also has a buy it now price of just under 12,000 terry, the seller doesnt have much faith that it will be bid up. |

That red sub ($27k) was well presented. Photos are taken with great details. The b/p are well preserved that you can't fault. The other one is pretty questionable - 1. the picture with dial shows very little details. 2. the bracelet looks stretched. 3. the new box is totally out of character/vintage.
