I have a M series Sub Date 3135 movement that has been running fine since I got it in October and for the last few nights have been leaving it on my nightstand with the crown up. It was wound and reset a few days ago and gets 10-15 hours of wrist time @ day. This morning when I got up, I noticed that it had stopped. The only way I could get it restarted was to tap it against my hand. Once I reset the watch I had to tap it again to get it started, and seems to be running fine now. The watch was serviced several months ago prior to purchase by a Rolex trained watchmaker. Is this something I should monitor or take it to the jeweler now as it's under warranty?

Yes, you should use the crown located on the side of the watch and wind it 40 turns.

Id wind it fully (40 turns) and watch how long it runs. Then, use it (wrist time) to confirm the auto-wind works.

With 10-15 hrs./day wrist time it should not stop.
If it does not run properly after a winding I'd return it the shop and you should not be charged.

I would not think it should stop, although I have been rather inactive due to the flu for the past few days. I gave it a full wind and set it to time.gov Thursday I still wore it about 10-15 hours each day and it stopped this morning. Never had this experience before and wore it 2 and 1/2 months without winding with no issues.

That's because it's an M serial.. they function completely different from other serials.

Seriously, wearing it is not the point, it is activity that winds it. If you are somewhat inactive it will run down and stop - even on your wrist because you are not putting more wind into it than it is using to run.

You shouldn't have tapped it to get it started unless you had wound it first, that's pretty normal.
