Rolex St James Square London

I was walking to my car last night and realised there's a Rolex building here. After I checked it up on Google I found that it's Rolex head office building. Since it was evening I couldn't go in

Has anyone been in this building and can you drop in to have your watch serviced/repaired rather than go to an AD?

I've been in, it's very smart and the staff are very pleasant and yes you can drop your watch in for repair or service.

I believe Rolex's European HQ is actually in Kings Hill, Kent. Not the London building. But it was only built a couple of years ago.

That's good to know. When the time comes I will take it to them myself and cut out the AD altogether for this process. On the Rolex website it says 'Rolex UK head office' for the London branch, so maybe it's been changed.

Yes the Rolex St James are very nice to deal with, you can take in your watch and they are always happy to change a spring bar for free (SS) or adjust a bracelet etc. I found Rolex in Kent to be the total opposite, they were not helpful in the least and the techs came across as just rude with a cannot be bothered attitude.

Thanks for the input Kier333, I'm glad the London one is my local one then lol...who's your local AD that you tend to use?

I have only used Rolex St James as they are my local as I live in central London. I have popped into Russell Talasman a few times and they seem quite helpful, I am not sure though I would have them service my watch.

I have just had Russell check over a watch for authenticity, he does not give you a written evaluation, but for £20 will confirm if the moment is genuine etc. a service is around £360 with Russell including a crown and comes with 1 year warranty - he is Rolex accredited, I just figure rolex charge £430 and if you require a crown another £50 so for £120 more you get an additional years warranty and a Rolex service card.

That's a shame, I've been to the kent service center several times with my sub and they have been brilliant. The last time I went they cleaned my bracelet , changed the spring bars and fixed the clasp for free.

I walked in one day thinking it was a dealer. Didn't realize it was a service center. I was on vacation and had plenty of time so the nice, attractive young lady directed me to the closest AD a few blocks over near Bond Street.

Have to say I've found the staff at Kings Hill RSC to be extremely courteous and helpful.
They swapped out a spring bar on my GMT at no charge and spotted that the clasp wasn't original ( I'd replaced the original with a sub one years ago).
The watchmakers are the same guys that worked at the Bexley RSC where I also had excellent service, as indeed you would expect form a prestige brand

Lol sounds like a really nice friendly place. Can't wait to have an experience on my own when I have to go for a service or repair.

Purchased a black/ burgundy insert for my GMT II to commemorate my visit to London at Rolex St James back in 2008. Very pleasant experience.

Been there once at the start of last year with a query on my Sub. They seemed fine and were helpful.
