Coming to NBC this Fall!

"War Stories with Brian Williams"
Listen to completely fabricated stories of unbelievable heroism under fire told by men and women suffering from the "fog of memory," compellingly illustrated with real stock combat footage.
Must see TV!

Brian Williams and the Fog of Memory

I like Brian Williams. Not sure its a laughable joke but he sure put himself in the hot seat with his fabrication of the events of his time out there. Too bad it escalated. Otherwise, I really, over the years, thought he was quite credible. Sad..

Since in the joke section...I'll LOL it...

At least he admitted the mistake and apologized. There are Faux News channels spewing lies hourly as part of their modus operandi.

I've never liked BW and I have my reasons.

Stories like this go into the joke section, because they too often become political and live short lives, and besides, BW made a laughing stock of himself. Even his apology was laughable.

The OP is called sarcasm, which is a form of humor, so there is at least an attempt at humor here.

Let Williams be glad he didn't say he was a SEAL because by the time Don Shipley got through with him, there'd be more than a single post in a relatively obscure discussion board.

By the way, the veteran's groups, who were not happy with his charade, are taking a wait and see stance, because Williams has been involved with pro-vet activities in the past, and I will at least give him that.

In the meantime, the combat vets can have a little fun with BW's "foot-in-mouth" disorder.
