Oyster Perpetual - 67513 - Iconic Watches UK

Hi all,

I am considering this item as a first Rolex. The style is just what I'm after - bi-metal, jubilee bracelet, 34mm case.

http://www.iconicwatches.co.uk/rolex...ual-67513.html

I have done some research and the seller appears to be fairly well-regarded.

My primary concern is that this particular model seems to come with a 31mm case in the main. I have found very few exceptions which for all I know could be the same watch or fakes themselves.

I suppose my question is - can models (e.g. 67513) come in different sizes? Apologies for any staggering ignorance such a question reveals.

Also, if you have any other observations on the watch, I would be very grateful for them.

Many thanks,

Ian

I would not buy from there based on everything I've seen from them so far.

I highly doubt Iconic are trading in fakes, as they are a well known grey dealer.
Watchfinder, interestingly enough, also show the exact same style (batons rather than numbers) on their site (sold) and state the same dimension.
So either there was a limited number of 34s or both are guilty of presuming rather than actually breaking out the vernier calipers and measuring them.
If I had to suspect any shenanigans, it'd be playing with crown included for the benefit of search result hits externally or within their own.
Also, since the same watch is listed on chrono24, it might be there that Iconic have manipulated the search results.

Easiest solution is to just phone or email and ask them to confirm the dimension and if it's 31, let them know they've screwed up on their website and listing.

Should be room to barter with them at that price, since another (but with numbers) is in Germany for just over £2100, plus postage and less what discount you can obtain.

I did ask them to check the size and was told this watch only comes in 34mm.

I also asked for some better pics but they said the ones on their site should be sufficient, which hasn't exactly won me over to be honest.

I'm sure they're stand-up guys but I think I'll pass.

Thanks for the comments.

Hmm.....that response sucks – can't say I blame you taking your business elsewhere.
The fact WF stated the same dimension on theirs, puzzles me. It does make me wonder if there was a 34 mm made after all.

Thanks. It's ok. I actually went and tried on a 36 mm at an AD and it didn't look as massive as I feared it might.

I have therefore widened my search and there are clearly a lot more items out there which fit the brief now.
