SUB & EXP band question

Hi all. Just a quick question. The band on my Exp II is a tad too short. Could I take a link from my 114060 and add it to the 216570? It looks to be the same. Is there anything I need to be aware of if I did this, apart from a bit of 222 Loctite on the link screws? Many thanks, Tony.

Yikes. I've committed the cardinal sin of online forums and asked a noob question so dumb that no one can be bothered answering it. Oh well, I'm just going to go ahead and try it. But if I swap out some links and my watch blows up, it's your fault!

If you take a link closer to the clasp it should fit just fine. The EXII tapers from 21mm at the lugs whereas the Sub starts 20mm at the lugs. The clasps are the same width so if you take a link that doesn't taper (closer to the clasp) you should be fine. Hope that helps.

The two AD's I bought from weren't keen on adjusting the bracelets. I could have insisted but I like tinkering. Anyway the links are a straight swap. The Sub with its Glidelock has more room to move, so going to an 11 link bracelet was no problem. And now the Exp has a 13 link bracelet and fits perfectly.
BTW, the precision of the links and screws are a joy to work with.
