School me on the 16710

Thanks in advance.

Prices from low 5k to 8k range.

Are there any significant changes from year to year with this model number?

There is so much information out there, your best bet is to start looking at different models and paying attention to the various and plentiful differences.

Your question is too vast to answer directly.

Possibly a hyperbole, but it's kind of like saying: tell me about the oceans of the world.

I can't speak to any differences in movement used on this model, if there were any.

I can tell you that dials the read SWISS or SWISS MADE have luminova on the markers and hands. They maintain their glow (when exposed to a light source and then go into dark) and they tend not to develop the cream colored patina that you see on some dials that use the tritium. Tritium dials are marked T SWISS MADE T or SWISS T<25 at the bottom, FYI.

Swingers reference?

There is a blog with everything you'd ever want to know about the GMT, I can't remember it, but I'm sure someone will post the link.

there were some 3186's later. It's very difficult to tell them by serials, you almost have to hold them to see, and the early 3186 movement's seem to have more reports of issues comparatively to the 3185. Lug holes, solid end links and a different clasp are the differences beyond the dial as mentioned. The matte dials are more sought after.
