Beautiful Multi Color Gold Pocket watch-AMAZING
I truly hate to part with this watch, but I'm buying a new cello, and will need to sell most of my non Rolex watches. I'm hoping that whoever buys this watch keeps it in a display, and for that reason if the buyer wants I'll include a glass display dome with a wooden base. Now on to the watch.....
This elgin is in Near Mint conditon, the case is basically perfect, and has applied, engraved, and hammered designs. The body is yellow gold, with a rose gold stag and crest, as well as rose/green gold flowers. There are a few very small dings in the dust cover. The case is signed, and stamped 14k gold. These cases are exceptionally rare, the hinge is called a box hinge, and opens perfectly. The movement runs nicely, and has been fully serviced. The dial, is exceptional, it is porcelain, and hand painted with gold accents, and a light green inner portion. Every part of this dial is painted by hand, and the gold hands are all hand carved! I'm looking for $2150 on this watch, shipped CONUS. Front: Stag has absolutely no wear, the case has never been polished, and from the looks of the watch, it was never used. Back: Crest, and all other details are flawless. It is rare to find these crests without initials. Hinge: All hand carved, and very durable! Dust Cover: Like a mirror of solid gold. Has some minor dings. Movement: Most of the parts are hand made, this watch has been fully serviced! Dial: This first shot shows the dial without the crystal over it. The dial only has a few very minor hairlines, more than likely these occured in the firing process. Dial with Crystal and Bezel: Bezel is solid 14k gold, and houses the Brand New crystal! |
