GMT II Question...

I have been wondering since when did the GMT pointer arm changed color from Red to Green..???

Is there any significance or mening to the colors and why changes..?? and what was the color prior to Red..??

Inquiery minds want to know..!!!

I think green is Rolex 50th anniversary color.

Prior to the green 24 hr. hand all Stainless references used red.

It was in '07 that they change to green.

I'd say it happened in 2005. The YG "Anniversary" GMT IIc (introduced in 2005) has a golden hand on the green dial. But the black dialled version in YG has a green GMT hand.

The green color is the company color and has been featured on many of the anniversary models. Before the green 24 hour hand was the red and before that was nothing because red was the very first color used for about 50 years.
