Best Place to Buy - Help!
Hello everyone,
I am now in the market for my next Rolex. I think I've decided on the DateJust Turn-o-Graph pictured. Now I just need to decide where to buy ... I bought my first Rolex back in 1996 in Singapore, duty-free, at the Rolex Centre on Orchard Road. I am currently living in London, but travel frequently. I am in Germany every week these days, will be in Italy next month, Mexico too, then USA in July. My preference is for new, but I'd consider pre-owned also. Any suggestions on where to get the best price are greatly appreciated. Many thanks, RK |

Sorry, Rainking, your post got hung up for a while. Hopefully, someone will be along to answer your question.

Hiya Rainking and welcome to TRF!!
if you're in Germany and Italy, why not pop over to Geneva?? It's only a 3 hour train ride from Paris, or a few hours more from Milan, and from Germany, especially Bavaria, not far at all. You'll get to see loads of watches without fluffling around plus there's the VAT refund at the airport when you get out of Switzerland... yes, train in, fly out... |

Welcome to TRF!
Nice choice! Luckily, TT watches are generally to be had with a nice discount (15 %+), too, so use your negotiation skills. If you also buy it in the States, you can get the ToG at an attractive price since firstly MSRP's are still lower than in Europa and secondly the Dollar is weak for the time being. Just be sure to wear the watch on your wrist through customs and have the box in your (large) luggage.

Hmmm ... never thought of Geneva. I've been there once ... long time ago. I remember thinking it was such a boring town, that I'd never have a reason to go back!
I am working in Koln every week (commuting from London) so Geneva is a bit far away. But May 1 is a holiday in Germany, and I've really got nothing to do - I'll have to check that it's not also a holiday in Switzerland. |

In that case, I suggest you buy the Rolex from an AD in Köln (Cologne). The RSC Cologne is renowned for the work and would be handy to have nearby now you're in Cologne so often.

Thanks, Space-Dweller.
I'll check it out when I go this week. Given that prices are much better in the US, though ... but maybe selection not as good? I'll be in Las Vegas in July - should I wait until then?? |
