Its under Ben Bridge's warranty, yes. I did take it back to them today, but since other Milgausses have the same issue, there's really no point in sending it back to Rolex.

Every painted hand watch is painted the same way.. Sending it to Rolex isn't going to change anything..

The paint isn't there as a protectant that needs to be completely covering the gold, it's just a bit of color for the model.

Exactly, the above guys know more about watches than anyone in this thread.

Negatron, his watch is fine. It is quite normal unless of course you only look at your watch through a loupe at all times, then of course you don't need a Rolex, actually, probably no watch will do, at least not under the $100k range.

I'm quite the OCD monster but some of y'all need a loupe and macro obsession intervention. I mean the magnification is so high the side of the hand looks like a wall. Do you expect tiny elves to paint it to perfection, or that Rolex dip the tiny hands in paint and then there would be globs of paint to complain about. It's just coloured so that when you look down with the naked eye it looks coloured, it's not there for protection. Don't like it, buy the non painted versions or a Patek.
Enjoy your Rolex guys, it will outlive you.

To all guys I have said this many times loupes are a Rolex owners worst enemy, and if you have to use a loupe on any watch to view.Either you must have very bad OCD or very very very poor eyesight.Lifes too short to worry and fret over some very minuscule perceived inperfection that you would not have bloody noticed without magnification or use of a loupe.

Very surprised to read that this is normal. I haven't macro'd any of my pieces, but I'll take your word for it. I'm not bent out of shape, but just surprised at the lack of finished details. I don't own a loupe so no real problems here

Seen the same on the Exp 2 when it came out. Poor paint application.

Definitely not corrosion; the hands are white gold.

Piss poor paint application. Totally UNACCEPTABLE on an $8,000 watch. But of course you'll have the usual crew here trying to make excuses for Rolex and defend them to the gills about how it's totally 'normal', 'not a big deal' and 'you need a loupe to see it'.

If I were you, I'd go to RSC and have them replace the seconds hand.

In my opinion this looks terrible. I agree that this should not be defended and is unacceptable on a watch that demands these kinds of prices.
