Thanks for the advise and the initial list of ADs in HK. I'll check out the rolex website later.

The standard discount you would get in HK for a non sport model is approx 10%. Cash will get you additional 3-5%. For popular sports model they don't discount as there are so many mainland Chinese going to HK to buy "stuff". The stock practically flies out of the window...
Good ADs such as Chow Tai Fok, King Fook, Oriental Watch are recommended. Try go to their head offices as HQs hold more stock and varieties. BTW, try pull an AMEX and see them kick you out of the door, I did it once trying to squeeze more cash discounts

Also, ask if the AD will send your box back by parcel post as "value added service". Remember to keep the papers on hand if you're honest and want to declare the purchase at customs

BTW, the original post was 1.5 years ago... Here's a more recent partial price list. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=34894

Are LVs available in HK? Prices? Can anybody introduce me to an AD that is likely to have one in stock?

If this doesn't work out, I guess I'll have to choose (poor me!) between 14060m, 16610, 16600 or even possible a blue 16613.

Are these readily available in HK? Prices? Discounts? Good ADs?

Thanks in advance for your help and input!
I hope you had a nice trip to HK 1½ years ago and got the watch you wanted.

The people in HK are very keed on Rolex, luxury things, ann. year, status etc... So when LV is a thing representing all these, LV is a very popular model in the HK market. Yes, I know that - lived there, been there, were among them

I don't think you can get very very good discount on the LV there...however, the price in HK is much better than in Europe and US.

There are a lot grey-shops and pawn-shops there. Speak Cantonese and be like them, then you don't treat you like a easy cow

Good luck!

I am hong kong people... I think for the AD they only offer 8-10% discount (I think that is fixed. All AD offers the same)...I would really wonder if you can get more than that in AD.

For the green sub, it is not that easy to find it. But, you can leave your contact and ask them to call you back, when they have this watch available. I guess they will call you back within a day or two.

And for green sub, I don't think you will get any discount at all, because this is a hot item.

Yes ... the authorized dealers have reduced the discount again since the last price increase. Perhaps they will resume the 10% discount after the next price increase.
