I generally wake up on the floor, which is polished hardwood. When I am sure of where I am, I crawl to the watch-box and put on a Rolex. The inside of the box is padded, but I'm only inches from the floor, anyway. I was sorry to hear about your mishap with the strap, it does happen.

Picked it up at lunch today. Two small parts replaced, and the plastic no longer shows the big scratches....

Here is a photo of 18:15...!

Cheers everyone... !

Just out of curiosity, how did you know the rotor was loose? Do you hear noises coming from the movement?

It's a sound I've heard before- the oscillating rotor was no longer attached to the movement...

Youch! Sorry to hear that.

I like wearing my sub on a NATO strap on occasion... and because I learned the lesson, fortunately with a different watch, that yes, you can mis-guide the strap into the buckle and the watch falls, any time I strap on my rolex/NATO combination, it's over the bed!

Hope the repairs go well... good luck!

Excellent. That is one sharp GMT. Glad the fix went smoothly.
