New purchase.. 16700
Hi everyone,
Just signed up here and paid for the full the 2015 pledge membership, also just posted in the new members section with some more info. I recently purchased the below Rolex 16700 and it came complete with the box, papers and Rolex service paper from a recent service in 2014. I would like to complete the set and add a calendar and booklets. Is there anything else you would have got new with this that I can buy? Also any recommendations as to where to get them, is it worth posting a wanted advert on here? Thanks in advance. |

Great watch, I've had mine for 25 years, never missed a beat. The most valuable extra is the service paper that proves the watch is completely straight.
As to the other bits they tend to go into storage and be forgotten so I wouldn't worry about finding the right ones for the year of your watch. Having said that Ebay will have them at a price. |

Lovely watch, Welcome!
I think Ebay uk is your best bet, but have a look in the classifieds and you never know they may be there. Enjoy. |

Thanks everyone.
I have just been looking and found most the accessories on LuxuryBazaar.com. Would this watch have came with a GMT booklet like below or was this only on some newer or older models? http://www.thetimetraveler.co/img/ge...73262_1_t5.jpg Thanks again |

What is the sale date on the warranty paper? The booklets would have been given by the dealer at that time, they weren't shipped with the watch. The booklets print dates are on the back, so you want them within a year two before the sale ideally.

Just checked the papers and the sale date is down as 24/01/1994
Would I be best getting a calendar from 93-94 then you think? I will keep an eye out for the GMT booklet then. Thanks |

Hi.
I knocked the watch this weekend when moving house and the clasp has came a little loose, I took it to a local shop who replaced a pin which was bent but they said it may not last too long. I have noticed the below on Ebay UK and thinking of buying it just in case, can anyone just confirm this is the correct clasp? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Pr...item4636342dc9 Thanks |
