Welcome to TRF. Glad you found us.

Yes, it's most likely legit. The seller is well known and has a good rep.

But I would wait till just before the end of the bidding to decide whether you want to go for it. Otherwise, you'll just jack up the bidding for others.

What a nice looking watch. I agree with waiting till the last minute. I see too many that end up driving the cost beyond reason as they allow emotion to over ride logic. Wait until 2 minutes till the end and sneak in your maximum amount you would pay. If you do it at several hundreds over what is listed they will take only what is necessary to complete the sale. Otherwise you get in to where the maximum amount someone else was willing to pay will over ride you and you will lose the sale. The last time I did this was on an Explorer II. The bid was at 3,250. I waited till the last minute and bid $3,500 and beat the high amount from someone else by $50.00 and won the auction.

Good luck on it. It looks like a sharp watch and probably very nicely priced now unless someone bids it out of the ball park.

I could be corrected but the dial should read T< 25 for a watch manufactured in 1989, not necessarily anything wrong with the watch just not original dial maybe.

Well I did not get it. I only have about $2800 in my budget. I will keep trying but I may never own a Rolex sub. Is it even possible to get one for that price or should I give up?

Maybe you could save an extra $300 -$500 or so in the next few months, then i think you would have a much better chance. Good luck

Fred

You might be able to get a late 80's to early 90's Expy II for that price....

but IMHO...I'd save up a few more to get the watch you want. PM me and I'll send you a great link to a member here that sells some GREAT preowned subs at very fair prices.
