New SuperOcean II -- Basel 2015 Release

Pic snagged from breitling.com

New Lume pip and Minute graduations on the bezel.

Unfortunately, they decided to make it a thinner case and lower the WR rating by 1000m and the markers no longer appear to be applied. The price went up too, of course.

That's just a poor effort...

Clearly Breitling is fading away...

I disagree. I think it looks better proportioned and balanced.

Things I like:
The bezel with pip and graduations.
Thinner case.
36mm case option.
Full lume numerals.

Things I don't like:
The new bezel font.
The new dial font. Looks like the last generation super ocean font. A step backwards.
The painted on numerals.
The 24hour numerals that have the 15 and the 22 cut off!
The 2.5min markers on the chapter ring. Weird??
1000m less water resistant.

Can't say I am a big fan, but that will probably change once I see it in real life.

Me too, and, of course, it's all subjective. Pretty sure Breitling is not "fading away," especially with a newest in-house movement...

The bezel pearl and thinner case is a step ahead. The painted numbers harking back to the previous model? Swing and a miss in my opinion. Going from applied to painted numbers is backwards.
