when i spoke to the rsc in taiwan, the lady told me it's about 4 - 6 weeks of turn over time. since there are two rsc's in taiwan: one in taipei, and one in kaohsiung. it is a small island, local drop off and pick up is not too much to ask for. it is illegal to import any rolex watches in the states. every rolex watch that comes in has to be reported to customs if not wore on your wrist. it really isn't worth the trouble to start such business, but it'd save you a lot of money if you had family members who live in asia and travel frequently to the states.

it's interesting to know the service costs in countries with low wage.
Australia and European countries are expensive because wages are high.

China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines?

Apart from the horrendous cost of the service, there is the SIXTEEN weeks that you have to wait, before you get it back! What do they do? Send them to Mars? Ludicrous. My local AD did mine in three weeks, and was over £100 less expensive. UK RSC is a joke.

Philippines- slightly above 200USD for basic servicing, adds up if they replace parts.

On another note- local omega center is slightly more expensive (about 20bucks more) for local repairs but includes crystal and crown swap.

They have just moved to a completely new facility, with new computer systems, machines, cataloguing systems etc., it's going to take a while for them to get up to speed. They've also got to deal with the massive backlog that built up at Bexley, there simply wasn't enough floorspace to deal with the huge demand for the RSC service. When it's fully up and running, they'll be servicing modern men's calibres in 4-6 weeks.

Besides, if you think Rolex servicing waits are bad right now, Patek Philippe are positively glacial by comparison

Everything is overpriced, here in Australia, relative to other countries.

Four years later and Hong Kong RSC is now charging roughly US$350 for a Sub Date or similar SS pieces, and just under 300 for no-date models. Still cheap.

I went to my local AD here in Sweden the other day to service my wife's Tudor, the estimate was equal to 580-690 USD. So I will go elsewhere.
