How long to posts require approval?
Just curious how long this approval thing lasts?
Reason being is that I made a post in the AP forum because I've been trying to figure out the ref # of a certain watch. It's been all day and no approval yet and it's getting a little frustrating. How long do I need to go through this? Seems a bit excessive, no? |

Actually I posted in the AP forum trying to find out the Ref# of a watch because I can't find it and that post has been there since yesterday morning still unapproved.
If you're saying it's because it's a 'sale' post, can you please explain how? I made one post which got approved trying to use the img tags to show a picture of it asking if anyone knew the ref of it. I made a follow up post to that one immediately after because for some reason the img doesn't show up and I can't edit the post so I just replied with a direct link to the image so people can actually see the watch in question and hopefully help me figure out the ref number of it. I did make another post in the Patek forum because someone was saying that they were looking for a 3940P and they're so rare and impossible to find for sale and I simply linked that I currently had an auction on eBay with 2 days left of that same watch. If you're saying that post won't be approved because you force people to only sell on this site, that's fine but that has nothing to do with the AP post which has nothing to do with SELLING in any way. Would have actually been great if you provided an answer to the question too "How long the approval lasts for new members" instead of touting the forum or suggesting I'm not a good fit. |

Thanks for the admonishment, not.
One of your posts pictured a dodgy looking AP. Another post touted a link to your auction for a $60,000 Patek offered for sale by a mere 9 feedback Ebayer with a history of two PC items sold and the rest unknown purchases. You cited a warm welcome from fellow members, fair enough. Don't expect the same from the mod team when you act in a way that gives us cause for a little concern.

1.. Because your initial "new member" post stated that "I'm liquidating a large watch collection of...", then it is a good guess that you are here hoping to find somebody to buy from you. 2.. see above post. 3.. Links and images for new members are always stopped by the software. Sorry that we are not working at the speeds that you desire to weed through the 2,000 posts we get here daily. 4.. Links to your auctions, or anybody else's sales ads, will not be approved here.. We do not "force" anybody to sell on TRF, it's already more trouble than it's worth for us; those who choose to do so read the rules and requirements and post in the proper Boards. 5.. Attitude is the quickest way to be shown the door out around here..

So the topic was a question "How long does it take" but rather than just provide a simple answer like 5 days or 20 posts or what ever it is, it's more along the line of - Let's be argumentative, challenging and question intentions.
Even through you have nothing other than your pessimistic point of view on everyone that I hold any ill intention and not just simply a guy asking a question about an AP watch (that's completely not shady and 100% authentic, thanks for your super knowledgeable input though) and happens to be selling a nice watch on eBay that didn't see the harm in showing someone a link to one for sale after they just posted they were really looking for one and couldn't find one. Jesus buddy... No pun intended but to say you guys are a little 'wound' up, is an understatement. I'm 100% legitimate and I really don't care if I sell anything on your site or not. Talking to people like you do isn't the way to get your $25 seller fee's rolling in though. I wanted to find a reference number on the AP in the picture, that's pretty much it. So stop throwing your completely unfounded accusations and negativity around because you have had a bad year. Or am I not allowed to ask other members questions unless I pay you first? P.S. It's a 74k Patek, not a 60k Patek. |
