It's here and my fears were unfounded

Yes, my Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial arrived this afternoon and I could not be more pleased. (Pictures later so for now, you will have to take my word that I have it on my wrist.)

As some of you know, my first reservation about this model was the thickness of the case and how it would wear on my round wrist. I had to remove 3 and a half links but the fit is perfect - very comfortable. But I can tell that the ratcheting clasp will be a blessing on humid days. The 41mm case is the perfect size for a vintage look.

Now what about the PCLs? I know that fingerprints and scratches will probably drive me crazy but Omega did a good job recreating the look of the original 300 bracelet. The watch is supposed to look like the original and it does. I can live with the PCLs, at least for now.

I've owned the 2500 LM PO LE (a beautiful watch without a doubt) and an 8500 PO that wore like a hockey puck on my wrist. In my current stable, I have my second modded 2254.50 but I suspect it will soon be finding another home. The 300 M is definitely a giant leap up from my other divers.

Without a doubt, the 300 M is a gorgeous, state of the art timepiece. The pictures do not do it justice. It was worth the wait and worry. What a great mate for my FOIS!

got mine today, thickness is NO issue. I flipped a planet ocean because of the chunk was ridiculous. Not sure if its too flashy yet, well see =)

Congrats Will!

Just to prove mine did arrive, I took this quick wrist shot before heading out to church:

It pairs up great with the FOIS. I'll try to post a shot of the duo tomorrow.

Every time I look at the dial, I think for a moment that its the 3rd of the month. :-)

Congrats! I handled it at an AD, my biggest concern were the faux patina, but that was really a non-issue when wearing it.

What an amazing watch. In my opinion the most attractive precious metal diver on the planet. Congrats, and it is not too flashy.

I think you made a good call.

That thing is amazing. Love all iterations but that gold is something else.

Wow.

OP, congrats on ur new watch. I think in getting pretty close to picking one up.

Very striking watch. I'm going back and forth between the black dial or blue dial. I love the case back. Great looking movement - looks like a UFO taking off. Congrats, Fr John and wear it in good health!

Huge congrats...very nice indeed. Haven't seen it in person but how does this shade of rose gold compare to that of Rolex?
