That's a beauty Martin. I especially like the hands and indices.

Wow Martin. That is awesome. I love the hour markers and the hands and the dial is outstanding and shows it all off. It is in fabulous shape for being of that vintage. Have you had it for a long time? One can tell that you take immaculate care of it.

Thanks
I bought it very reasonably on a watch forum about a year ago, (had to add UK duty charges It is my first Rolex purchase. The bracelet was a separate purchase & dates from mid seventies. I was astounded when I had it in my hands the first time. Keeps really good time loses about 15 secs a day.
Trouble is I am in trouble with my wife as I am now hunting a reasonably priced pepsi gmt. Found one yesterday but got to convince the boss

That's a gorgeous looking OP Date!

Not sure if the lugs were highpolished originally, though. Not a big issue since RSC can bring it back to specs by satinising the lugs.

Speaking of RSC... you might want to have the watch serviced if it has not been overhauled recently (which I would doubt due to the lugs). Besides cleaning and oiling the movement, RSC would also bring the accuracy back to COSC specs.

Thanks Bo

Previously to my ownership it had been polished as the original case was gold plated. Have a look at the area between the dial & crystal and you can see the gold. May not be totally original but looks good on the wrist.
Would RSC Bexley service a watch that had been altered in this way or this old?

Truly wonderful to see a vintage rolex in that great condition. Good work keeping it up.
