These seam to be older would anyone know the exact ref number so I can search for one , I was told it could be a slash card type

From Michael's link Click on the Daytona button and then go the Daytona Gallery. In the gallery is a 9.02m serial number 6265 which should not be a million miles away from what you're looking for.

That's a Bufkor box, which was only used in the USA. So suitability would depend on where the watch was sold, if known. UK watch would have been moon crater...possibly with cushion inner box if the watch was sold a year or two later than the serial suggests, I believe. (Daytona being a slow seller back in tne day).
