UK pricing?

With most watch brands pricing is held fairly consistent from country to country and currency to currency. There may be some small tax advantages of buying in one place or another but generally it doesn’t matter all that much where you buy it.
For example Rolex DSSD: US retail 12,050 (£7800) UK retail: £8050 (12,392)
So basically in USD they are within $342 of each other and in GBP they are within £250 of each other which makes it not matter all that much where you buy it as you are paying basically the same price.

Which brings me to the PAM233, which I am currently looking at. With the US price reduction and the Europe price increase they are still pretty close but the UK is the outlier here. AFAIK the RRP is $12,300/11,500Euro/£9400 …please correct me if I am wrong

In US dollar terms the PAM 233 is:
$12,300 is the US
$12,892 in Europe
$14,470 in the UK

In Euro terms the PAM233 is
11,500 in Europe,
10,971 in the US
12,907 in the UK

In British pound terms the Pam233 is
£9400 in the UK
£8375 in Europe
£7990 in the US

No matter if your home currency is Euro/Dollar/Pounds the PAM 233 is way more money in the UK than anywhere else so why would anyone buy one there? Especially since you can take a 1-hour train ride from the UK to France and buy it there for way less money you don’t even need to declare it as its all part of the EU. Unfortunately for me I currently live in the UK so it would be nice if there were a reduction in prices here as it is clearly more convenient to get it here and its hard to justify spending several thousand dollars more to get it here in the UK than anywhere else for the exact same watch. Does anyone know the reason for why the UK prices are so wildly out of line with the rest of the markets and if this huge disparity in prices is an indication that the UK will also get a reduction like the US to keep pricing somewhat uniform?

I have no idea, but it seems like OP will have to address this.

In the meantime, as you said, why not make a nice weekend out of it, hop on the Eurostar, and come to Paris to pick up the 233?

Thats the plan... for me it was more of a curiosity as it appears OP reduced prices due to lack of sales/missed revenue targets in the US as opposed to a simple currency adjustment the same goes for the Euro pricing as the increase was way less than the relative weakness of the Euro. So it would then seem like the UK's outlandish pricing relative to other markets will further reduce demand (at least in the UK) as surely OP has UK specific revenue targets... and the downward spiral begins. Its interesting also because its not hard to find a PAM233 anywhere in London all AD's have several and they sit there for a long time. My experience in Europe is they are a bit harder to find and its obvious why.

But really, I was hoping that I missed the announcement about the UK's updated pricing and I had outdated information as that would have made the most sense.
