GMT Master II Coke dial
Hi all, can someone help me with a purchase I just made. Please have a look at the attached photo. Does the paperwork/warranty papers look right for a 2006 Z serial? I thought the serial on the warranty papers should be punched? Thanks"
Sorry the title should read coke bezel not dial Last edited by Evolver75; 17 May 2015 at 09:16 PM.. Reason: Wrong wording in title |

The paperwork looks good from the photo posted. If you are really curious, call the store listed on the original paperwork, obtain the original receipt, and fully confirm with them that they sold it on 07/25/07

Looks ok to me, at least with the photo you provided. What part concerns you?

Word of advice - next time do the research pre-purchase.
Now enjoy your GMT! |

Thanks all. I feel like such a noob now. Realising that USA watches don't come with punched papers. I typically do research on the watch I was acquiring but on this instance the watch was being sold on an auction website in my country. The price was good with a lot of interest. I've also been waiting for a GMT II for so long.
I know that the only sure way to check whether the watch is genuine is to have the case back taken off and inspect the movement. But out of curiosity what is the likelihood of a fake movement in a genuine case? I hope this isn't a dumb question. |
