Lol classic!

My Casio with a calculator has given me the most compliments ever.

Agreed.

I've received a handful of "nice watch" comments and I'm pretty sure many of these were from people who didn't know I was wearing a Rolex.

I work in retail and as long as the situation allows it, I'll always compliment someone on their watch, especially if we have the same one (submariner).

I've never had a negative reply.

That's funny, I was getting ready to post that the Apple Watch would likely get much more attention.

I know there are others out there like the younger me. I could spot an Oyster bracelet from across the room. I would steal a quick glance and think, "someday." I never made a scene about it. I was raised that you can appreciate something without making a spectacle.

Jump to now. I have never noticed a soul looking and certainly no one has made a comment. I have never felt like I was being sized up, judged, etc. Obviously people on this forum see through "watch" eyes. I am convinced that most of the people I encounter don't pick up that a ROLEX, AP, Patek, etc. is in their presence.

..and yes, I like it that way.
