Posted on other threads, but sharing here.....Punto Final Reserve (Malbec, Argentina), I LOVE this wine. Very smooth Malbec yet a powerhouse....I know, mixed comments, but that is Punto Final. An hour in decanter helps a LOT

This...a fun evening with winemakers, chefs and friends. Tried a mix, and found that flavors change quite a bit with different foods. Talcual is a private label that surprises with a powerful Nebbiolo

Mariatinto is...well, MARIATINTO! A surprising blend that year after year brings a wine that is perfect by itself or with medium spiced meals. A must in your cellar.

Pagano (grenache, Mexico). Bought this as it was different, people at the wine store in Ensenada told me people were afraid about the non-conventional bottle. Found it to be a nice, light wine. Beautiful for a warm afternoon; but lacks power to pair with meals.

Hi Gerardo,

slightly cooled light and young red wine can be excellent! Italian Bardolino is great that way

First bottle opened. Citrus flavor, lots of pear and high on acid side. A nice warm summer wine for light meals. Paired with pasta and chicken, a nice lunch wine.

Just got back from a wedding and the groom's friend provided the wine from his private cellar. Took a picture of some of the selections.

WOW! Some awesome vintage red wines were served!

WOW is right. Nicely played by the groom.

At our wedding, we had a lot of vintage wines from the cellar too, but just at our table, not at the main bar, and we drank them with anyone who stopped by to talk.

This is...UNREAL! A TRUE Malbec with very soft tannins. After an hour, this really evolved into a very well balanced, high (not ultra) powered red. Want fantastic flavor without the Cab tannins? This is it!

Duckhorn Napa Valley Chardonnay 2012

Yummy on a hot evening! I would definitely recommend it!
WE 90 pts ~ Nice Oak and not too much fruit, just how I like my Chardonnay's.

Rodney Strong Pinot last evening. Nice, clean, soft red. Good for pasta or by itself.
