Hi, guys.
I've noticed that there are difference of glass' thickness between differnet models.
I can clearly see that the thicker one is SD at the moment, later would be DSSD. And the second one would be Sub if I'm right. You can easly see the SD's glass is way more thick than other models including sub.
However I found it is hard to see the glass thickness difference between a sub and a normal 100m water-proof Rolex.
So, I start thinking is it true that a sub's glass are actually thicker than others????????
When I touch the glass of a sub, I feel it is solid where as those 100m water-proof dont get me this feel. But when I compare those glasses buy looking. I really can not tell any difference.
Please, let me know that my feeling is right. Sub's glass is thicker!

I would say that the Sub crystal is thicker due to its increased depth rating. Not sure exactly how thick it is, but the SD crystal is 3.2 mm (not 4 mm as stated in some reviews).

The DJ crystal is 2 mm thick. I just measured it, since I have an old one in my drawer (exchanged due to a manufacturing fault).

So, I'd take the sub glass is thicker than DJ and other 100m-water-proof models but less thick than SD,
and the thickness of a sub glass would be somewhere between 2mm-3.2mm

No, the difference is the thickness of the caseback. Same thickness of crystal,

You really have to remove the bezel to see the true thickness of the crystals.

I was at an AD today and the charming young woman helping me (you would have loved her JJ) said that the crystal of the DSSD is 5 mm at it's thickest point!

She seemed knowledgable enough that I believed her at the time, but I was distracted by the two Rolexes in front of me and her *ahem* cleavage.
