FedEx Fail, but a Birth Year Incoming

Somehow an overnight delivery from Portland to just outside Denver ended up in Memphis, but excited nevertheless.

It's a birth year watch, and hopefully enough to appease me until I find "the one" (been searching for a BY Sea Dweller for some time now)

Hint: It's not a Sea Dweller. Any guesses? 1982

Smoothest seller interaction I've ever had! A couple snags along the way, but all out of seller's control.

Timeline:

Monday 4:04PM: Find the watch online and ask seller for more photos
Monday 4:09PM: Seller sends about 10 more photos and all looks good
Monday 4:30PM: Call seller and agree on a deal
Monday 4:37PM: Receive Paypal invoice
Monday 4:39PM: Make payment, Chase flags as possible fraudulent purchase
Monday 4:41PM: Call chase to remove flag. Annoying, but glad they keep tabs
Monday 5:02PM: Receive 2nd Paypal invoice
Monday 5:07PM: Payment made
Monday 5:21PM: Watch shipped overnight with tracking provided

Tuesday: Watch accidentally ends up in Memphis and finds its way to Denver. Sigh.

Today: Waiting!

All Fed Ex First Class shipments go to Memphis First. Not sure if Fed Ex still does this, but they used to.

For example I bought tickets to a basketball game in Toronto, I was on the 23rd floor of the building, the seller was on the 20th floor of the same building. The tickets went from the 20th floor, to Memphis, and back to me.

Usually from west coast, they've come directly to Denver sort facility. Anything fron the east, always Memphis.

Or I've never paid attention. I usually ship USPS Express. They're overnight has always made it overnight, for me at least.

Please give me your opinions

Arrived!

I'm giving it the once over.

It's got a luminova pearl and a later bracelet (or at least clasp...S code), and 593 ends.

Movement winding and setting like butter.

To me the dial looks really good. There's a slight bleed at 6 o'clock marker, but I know this is common. The hands look original with a little corrosion developing.

The case appears very strong, with a bit of slight inner wear at 7'oclock lug.

Crystal has a couple tiny surface marks, but no edge chips.

Any opinions welcomed and encouraged. I have a return window if I'm not happy, but I think I'm happy!

If any red flags jump up, please let me know. Be easy on me; this is my first Sub.

Ok, must be a service clasp.

S & S2 make sense? Year?

I don't know about how common bleed is on markers from that period, but it looks...odd. Like, it was painted on and smudged. I know it's much more noticeable on a close-up photo like you've posted, but that would def be a struggle for me to get over.

How can I find out for certain of the marker is result of bleed or something not naturally occurring? Or can I?uploadfromtaptalk1437590587659.jpguploadfromtaptalk1437590599443.jpg
