Rolex super president
Hello,
Does Rolex have what people called men's and ladies super president? and which are both covered with all diamonds in yg? I don't think I recognized those names at all. Two months ago, my husband brother purchased 2 preowned, 1 for him was $28000, 1 for his wife $23000....have not see these yet, but I think they are after market parts. I just happened know it yesterday. Too late for me to say anything to him now. What you all think? they are real? if not, should I come up to tell him? |

I think it might be a little late since he dropped $54,000 on watches sounds like he has plenty money and i hope the equal amount of sense to go along with it. That's your call without seeing the watches it's hard to make a call.

I'm pretty sure Rolex does sell a Day-Date called "Super President". It means that the center links are covered in diamonds.

I hope I'm not confusing this with another brand but I seem to recall a group of Day/Dates referred to as the Masterpiece Collection. These as I recall even go so far as to "pave" the lugs and center links. I do not believe that Rolex has ever officially used the term "President". This seems to be a colloquialism.

At a time (long ago and not so anymore), "SuperPresident" was an expression used to denote the President bracelet having a concealed clasp instead of normal clasp (options back in time).
Today, as Steve says, it's a DD with the bracelet covered in diamonds.

Thanks to all for your input.
In last Nov, we went to see his family. He saw my husband has a Rolex on (and he knows very well before, my husband did not like Rolex), and my husband told that my wife surprised it for my birthday. And she also ordered a Daytona, which is around $11000 at the grey market for the time being, and herself a datejust. Two weeks later, he called my husband and says: bro, I am looking to purchase 2 super presidents for me and wife. Those fill with diamonds, the full diamonds bracelet (not just the middle link), full diamond dial and bezel as well. Mine is $89000, and hers is $67000...and you know I never buy preowned ones. curiously, I have check to see their prices....wow...it is not $89000, it is $213000 something or more........ He called many times after that, we have been so busy lately, therefore did not bother to answer him.... few days ago, he called, and my husband answered...and he "reported" I bought those two super president already...for the price he paid even they are preowned, I still think he got the fake ones. Besides, he says those at an AD...I told my husband, Rolex ADs do not allowed to sell preowned in their Rolex license store. 6 years ago, he purchased a real datejust in ss, and get $4000 traded in for a fake full filled diamond Rolex in wg, which costed $20000 (he paid out of the pocket $16000 more), the same with the one he got now except this is yg. Few months after that wg, somebody broke in his house and it has been gone for good. |

From what I remember, the super president bracelet is the new type, ie. solid centre links NOT diamonds etc.
