After 1 month, Yacht Master 0 and Orient Sub 2
Totally unbelievable
![]() I've had my mid-size Yacht Master and Orient 2ER00001B for a little over 1 month now. I don't have any co-workers, but see clients and friends about once a month. So far I have received 2 comments on how nice my Orient looks and none on my Rolex. Now I tend to wear the Orient more around my SASS shooting friends and they are much more likely to chat up a casual conversation. The YM is usually worn around clients and out to dinner and such. Had I just bought the watches as conversation pieces, I probably would have been better off just getting a Rolex Submariner ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() See my mid-size DJ peaking out from under my sleeve. Cowboys love to rib me about wearing a Rolex. |

I would really like to try this and have everything except the shotgun? Maybe when they have a shoot at my club I can borrow one from a member and compete. Thanks for the pictures.

I truly have met the best bunch of guys and gals shooting SASS the last 6 years. You shouldn't have any problems borrowing a firearm or 2 at a match. Just go attend a match before you intend to shoot the following month and introduce yourself. It would be a nice gesture to offer to pay for any ammo or bring your own (cowboy, all lead loads only). Sit in on the safety briefing for new shooters too. The shooters handbook is available online at http://www.sassnet.com/Shooters-Handbook-001A.php And for any TRF member wanting to see what a SASS stage being shot is like, checkout these to clips http://www.gacowboy.com/data/ER,%20feb04.wmv http://www.gacowboy.com/data/shootout.wmv I should also add that my 1986 DateJust has survived 1000's and 1000's of rounds of recoil with no ill effect |

Thanks, I always thought SASS'ers were a good bunch! BTW, I have a Browning 20 Ga. Sporter SxS. Would that be proper to use?

I'm getting kinda use to 40 mm watches. The blue one showed up yesterday and it's within COSC standards so far (+1 second in 24 hours)
The 35 mm YM does make for a very nice looking dress watch though. ![]() |

Great looking Orient!I never saw it in person, neither I knew that they produce kind of hommage to Rolex Sub.Very beautiful!
And YM is great,in 35mm size just as in 40mm...

Only 10 days for an LV complement
I received my first compliment on my LV today, only 10 days after purchase. She even mentioned how nice the green bezel was.
I still haven't had anyone mention the Platty yet, but it hasn't gotten any wrist time lately. Looks like the Subs iconic looks really stand out. ![]() |

It's them...not you...not your yachty..
I have also experienced this phenomenon...I honestly think that the Rolex intimidates some people, and they don't comment, because they may find it unapproachable.
I notice that only after some people get to know me better will they comment on my rolexes (roli?)...but had always complimented my less well known watches... They may think that the Yachtmaster doesn't need a compliment...because it knows that it's pretty... |
