Question for you smallish wrist BLNR owners here: what link arrangements do you have for sizing? My AD in AZ had me (7" wrist) at four links 6 o'clock and seven links 12 o'clock. Yesterday I visited the Rolex Boutique on Michigan Ave. in Chicago, and they practically pulled my watch off my wrist to change it to five/six! I am still trying to decide if I like the change, but I was curious what you people have sized out.

I don't have the gmt but I have tried one on and by far the Daytona wins in this category.

I have a 6.5" wrist and have owned both GMTII AND Daytona. GMTII is much more comfortable than the SubC that I currently own however the Daytona is the most comfortable watch I've owned in the sports line. It just contours the wrist so well! I love mine and wish my Sub was as comfortable.

Had the pleasure of wearing both for a couple of weeks each, both were extremely comfortable on the wrist.
Taking your collection into account I'd go for the GMT, I'm sure your PP, AP, FPJ and ALS can handle most situations. I feel the GMT is an overall easier watch to wear considering the date and GMT function. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk |

I have to say I'm a little surprised. I thought about the same would have a lot more votes.
For me...and I'll be the first to admit I have small, strangely shaped wrists...they are the two most comfortable watches I own. But I couldn't really tell you if one is more comfortable, though. |

I think you raise a few good points. I have been a bit worried about the legibility. I have middle aged eyes and wear glasses -- well not all the time as my prescription is weak and my major problem is with small writing close up--- so particularly affects my ability to read some of the sub dials. I have another watch with screw down pushers so that does not bother me too much.

I started to look through the various Daytona styles and the model i like the most is the one with arabic numerals. I have to admit I am fond of watches with arabic numbering. The downside is those offerings are only made in gold. Bummer. I also started to wonder I own a VC Overseas Chrono. I own the titanium grey dial but have an OEM steel bracelet. In many respects --- perhaps the Daytona is too similar to this piece. I also find I do not wear this watch as often as I expected and it has been one of two pieces that I have considered to put on the chopping block.

It does seem that there are steel versions of the arabic numbered Daytona. I do not see that as an option on the rolex website --- so were these recently discontinued? The model number of the arabic numbered and non-numbered versions appear to be the same. Maybe I am missing something here.. New to rolex as a consideration

The SS Daytona only comes with the black or white face. But quite a few forum members, including myself, have sourced dials for the WG models from trusted sellers here and had them fitted

Owned both in the past, the Daytona is the most comfortable Rolex I ever owned.

Mark, I feel that the Daytona has a marginal advantage in the comfort department ; But don't base your decision on that. Is not like a Panerai 372 vs Daytona ,,, LOL
I love my Daytona and I don't see need to buy a GMT for me; I think it smarter to guide your decision on wearing habits in this case Good Luck

Daytona fits better than GMT, GMT better than Sub C for my 6 inch wrist.
