White. A little variety.

It's not as legible as the white one.

My take, if you want one modern Rolex, and it's the explorer 2- go black. If you have another Rolex black dial, and you want another go white.

The white is fantastic but I don't think it's a one only Rolex, the whites a bit much day in day out...but it is the better 'tool'.
This is the guy to give you advice. If it's your first Rolex, go black. If you have other black dial watches, this is your chance to go white. I went white because I already owned a black dial 16610 when I purchased the newer model. It was my first modern Rolex. I'd also be lying if I didn't say that it was almost summer and we were switching from the green into the tan flight suits on my base and I thought the white dial looked cooler. It's really very arbitrary.

I would say white, one of a few watches which look better in white. And it adds variety to a collection.

I got a 16610LV first and then a Polar EXP II....they are both great watches to have in a collection :)

This kind of sums up the white v black debate. And indeed any watch choice debate. It's down to what each each individual feels is best for them, at the time in their life they are at.

What's nice about the modern black Ex II, is that it has a matte dial. Even if someone has other black pieces, it's different enough to earn it's own spot.
