PO ceramic

All,

Lurking for a long time but never joined.. apologies.

I'm looking for a 232.30.42.21.04.001 as a present for my wife.

We are in the UK, looking at various sites the best price seems to be with Authentic Watches at $3750.00 and we can pay this via Paypal.

They state that they will mark it as a $500 value on the package so that we try as much as possible to avoid customs charges (yes...).

Are they reputable? Any good/ bad experiences/ anywhere cheaper?

Thanks in advance..

Gents...

Really hoping for an answer here.

In addition SWMBO is visiting New York at the end of November.

Are there any retailers in NY that can do an excellent deal?

Thanks in advance.

stick with iconic watches.... buying from overseas from someone who will declare a lower value is a terrible idea.

Are you sure you want to buy your Wife a 42mm dia PO? That's one hefty bit of kit. I wear mine on a NATO these days to minimise the weight....

And I agree with Phillips29. Buying from overseas with a ridiculously low insured value to avoid customs is a terrible idea. What you going to do if it goes missing?

No need to go overseas for a pretty common watch.

Update: Well after a lot of discussion and contact with various people SWMBO decided on a Speedmaster white on metal bracelet. The decider was that, no matter what, you always saw the shoulders of the bracelet on the PO.

So we went to Iconic Watches last Thursday and got a bargain and great service.

She is incredibly happy, my wallet is a lot lighter...

Thanks for all of the input and thoughts about customs etc..
