Great work, Bas! I love to mod and tinker but you are much braver than me, my friend.

Very much impressed. I would not have the nerve. Venice looks amazing! I would love to visit there again someday.

Working on this old and banged up Seiko 6119C, it's missing a few screws and the part for the quickset date, but apart from that it's sorta running

I just picked up a pre-owned SKX007 with a few additional bracelets.
It had the bezel insert changed so I'll be changing that back, and the aftermarket solid "oyster" bracelet is pretty hefty- reminds me of an Omega bracelet. Anyway, here it is! |

Thanks but I can't take credit- former owner decided on the insert and bracelet... I have the OEM Seiko "Oyster" but I need a pin to add a link back in. Former owner had small wrists! I was able to scrounge a screw in my junk box to add a link to this bracelet.
These watches are absolute tanks. Although they are rated for 200m I would not be surprised if they survived twice that depth right after a service. Very comfortable case shape too. Smooth and refined, although I'd work the crown guards a bit differently if I was designing it. I my grab a cheap K version and reshape the case and do some other mods like Dan is doing! |

I just gave the bracelet and case a "Rolex" style brush/polish. Bracelet looks a lot better. I also installed the original insert even tough the pip is missing. That looks A LOT better than the PO one.

![]() Tempted. To the above posters - accuracy wise, what's been your experience with entry level Seiko mechanicals? |

Mine's good enough. I have a timegrapher app but need to dig out the earbud microphone. Overall it seems fine but probably not within seconds a day.
Since I rotate it in with others I just check and set if I feel the need when I put it on. Those prospex you show are another league- not entry level at all. |
