Twinlock Crown
1) Why does my GMT II, which has a twinlock crown, have a line under the coronet on the crown instead of two dots?
2) I read in _Watch Time_ that the twinlock has one insulator, the triplock has three. What does the "twin" of "twinlock" stand for? Mike? Bo? Larry? (The Peps Boys of TRF) Thanks. Mark |

This chart over crown marks might help:
(Pic from a German watch forum). Furthermore, there is an interesting note about rose gold models. The RG Twinlock crowns have a two dots (like the WG one), and not a line. Here is an overview: Steel: Line YG: Line RG: Two dots WG: Two dots Plat.: ONE dot. ------------------- TwinLock has two seals, hence its name. It has a seal in the tube and one in the crown. TripLock has three seals (2 in the tube, one in the crown itself) PLUS the O-ring, so in a way it has four seals on total and ought have the name QuadroLock. Here is a pic of the two sizes TwinLock crowns and the Triplock crown: (Pic from my Photobucket).
