If you like the watch buy, wear and enjoy.

You're not going to retire on the proceeds if you sell it. 😆

Essentially you would be buying it "grey" because of the steep discount. It just so happens that your Ad is the "grey" dealer in this case. Ask them if something happens, will they attempt to repair it, or will they send it off to RSC and pick up the bill.

I'm betting there is no warranty card because, at best, its new old stock (NOS). M serial numbers date back to 2007 or 2008.

No warranty because its expired?

40% is a great discount only if you really like the watch. Be careful with your decision.

The warranty doesn't start until an AD sells it; I'd bet this watch has been sold before.

Mint used white dial Milgauss's go for $5k. 40% off retail = approx $4,590. In terms of cost, appears like it's a good deal. However it's unusual an AD would offer such a steep discount on a lower-margin Rolex. I would be suspect, but purely financially it makes sense.

All Rolex cost AD same percentage 62% of retail price. AD selling this below what he would buy new from Rolex. This happens from time to time when AD's lose Rolex line. Also they sell returned ones without card like this on occasion.

My local AD will sell watches like this: new without warranty, however I have never seen a discount like this. Normally they will discount the piece 10-20% depending on the model.

They tell me that the watch itself is too old and has been in their inventory so long that Rolex won't warrant them. I always thought this was a load of crap and they were trying to sell a returned piece or something.

I would treat this as a used/gray market piece and compare to like pieces.
