in the power tools / electronics world, black is usually represented by the letter K. Even in printing CMYK color system, K = black.

But then BBK doesn't sound too good.

In CMYK printing the K stands for Key as it is used to ensure correct registration of the subsequent colours. It just so happens that the key colour is usually black as it provides the best contrast for registration.
