Hello TRF Friends,

I have decided to sell my very first Rolex, but only because it just doesn’t see any wrist action. This is a DateJust that I purchased from Alexanders Jewelers in Columbus, Ohio a few years ago. He had taken it in from a very wealthy family in town as a part of a few watches they “traded in” for other models. It really had never been worn (red stickers on the bracelet).

I wanted a classic dressy DateJust and it originally came with a Jubilee band. I sourced a BNIB Oyster bracelet for the watch, as I wanted a little something sportier. I also sourced an OEM polished bezel for it as well.

Trying not to take away from the almost vintage dial, I sent the watch away to Everest Watchworks to have the dial and hands re-lumed while keeping the original and beautiful tritium dial. What you see in the pictures is the amazing torch-like lume I think gives the factory lume a run for its money.

The watch has never been polished and there is absolutely no stretch to the bracelet since it’s probably been worn a total of 20-something times (my Sub and Panerai 005 get 99% of the wrist time).

The watching is keeping great time, and everything seen in the pictures (including the machined bezel!) will be included with the sale of the watch. I am offering the watch at $3800 shipped (PayPal Gift or Chase QuickPay -- +3% for regular PayPal) and insured.

The watch and myself are located in Columbus, Ohio. A face-to-face meeting can be arranged if you are local.
