Well, TBH, if we are comparing all of these luxury items to something like a G-Shock or Casio, can we really justify the premiums? It isn't like I can drive my watch at crazy speeds and experience the excitement of shifting the gears, like in a high end sports car. They are more akin to complicated pieces of jewelry than anything else, and different people are going to love different looks.

For me, I've always been fond of RM's streamlined black carbon and ceramic pieces. I love how the red pops next to the black case, while the white enhances that experience by framing the movement so that it doesn't intersect with the red directly and allows it room to breath. I find I like the RM pieces that are wild with colors or are streamlined like this one. This piece in particular goes well with my red colored car.

Very nice piece...another buddy of mine also got his a few days back and it looks like a stunner...

I do agree that in the new materials, some of the RM11 pricing has gotten a bit nutty, but they can command it if people are willing to buy it!

A pic of the matching shoes that came with my watch:

Apparently they are made by an exotic high end bespoke haberdashery named Under Armor. I think they are a french collective of footwear artisans...

Q - I've been trying to get raclaims into the RM11 game...then it can match a few of his black colored cars!

(With exception of the odd ball silver one, which he is giving me).

Titanium would look cool with the silver one. For titanium, I like the RM011-02 personally. The colors are fun (but I would put it on a grey or white strap to let the colors really pop). I think those can be found for a decent discount.

For black, besides Midnight Fire, I personally love the skull tourbillons if you can find one, but they are a bit pricey, even at the steep discounts you can find second hand if one is even around for sale.

I'll have to think of what other black ones I like. Black, red, and RG, I like the Lotus quite a bit, but it is quite busy looking with the NTPT, which for me was a little overwhelming. I think I posted a pic of that near the beginning of the thread.

Well, after making us foot a 100k+ bill, it's the least they can do! Of course, I already bought so I don't have a leg to stand on. And I love my lotus, so I can't be toe upset.

My favorite RM from pictures but I am still trying to get a look at some in person! Congratulations!

Just received my first RM today. I tried this piece on several times while I was in Vegas at the RM boutique. There are only a couple of RMs that I've found myself attracted to enough over the last few years to contemplate a purchase, but never pulled the trigger due to the second hand market plunge in value. The skull tourbillon has always been one of my favorite pieces, but price was exorbitant on those. I also like the Aviator models with the bright colors on the dial, but they don't have the same level of popularity (read as: resale value) as the RM011.

When I saw this piece it was love at first sight:

I was also very surprised that RM includes shoes with its watches (or at least the RM011) that match the watch. Pretty cool package all around. I'm surprised people don't post their watch/shoe combos on TRF.

Hey Q - you're stuck in September, buddy! Then, again, I think I still am, too. The month is a bear to set on these suckers.

Actually he is lucky--will be easy since it's the 30th and he's a month behind. But yes, you don't want to go over, otherwise you have another year 'turning'. Since it's an annual, today is the day to change to 10 if you can Q. Ping me if you want help...

That is a great combo Paul👍
It is good that you managed to get a RM screwdriver from your AD, the London Boutique are not keen on RM owners having their own screwdriver and advise that they prefer to do strap changes!!

It was simple--no screwdriver, no watch sale

But seriously, since I live in Austin (no AD within 1000+ miles) would be impossible to visit an AD every time I wanted to change a strap.

Normally would not consider a white strap, but heading somewhere 'very tropical' next week for vacay--it will be perfect.
