Second Opinion

Just received my watch and wanted to get a second opinion. My biggest concern is on the side of the watch where the band meets the bezel, there seems to be a space that shows some metal as if the bezel isn't all the way down. Is this normal? Also, based upon these pictures is it authentic? I have a plastic warranty card stamped by AD and the serial number matches the watch. Date is written in on warranty card as well. Any insight would be much appreciated.

On a TT the weight will be more than on an SS so that is a big clue as to authenticity. Can't see enough from the pics, any bigger ones?

My Sub has the same space between the bracelet and bezel. I wouldn't sweat it.

Looks good to me; my favorite DJ II. Good choice.

What is the source of your concern over authenticity?

My major concern was the space between the bezel and band. I also had a little worry that in one day the gold had many surface scratches, but guess that is to expected. I bought a microfiber cloth to wipe it down at night so that should help. Also, when looking at the sweeping hand, it is constantly moving but has the very unoticeable tick.... Is this normal?

as far as the ticking, yes, this is normal. Pretty much all mechanical watches tick with only the fewest of exceptions.

Suggest you do a little research/use the search function or heck, even watch some youtube videos on mechanical watches.

All three of my Rolex pieces have a noticeable tick even tho they are constantly moving. 2 of the 3 were bought at an AD the other bought from a very trusted TRF seller. The better ur "near sightedness" is, the more noticeable the tick. I have above average near vision, so I can see it. My friends with average to bad near vision can't see what I'm talking about and the seconds hand looks like a smooth fluid sweeping motion to them. I wouldn't sweat it. Also all 3 of mine have the "gap".

Nice pick up. Enjoy it!

Looks fine although those are some bad pics. Enjoy the watch, I really don't think you have anything to worry about :)

That gap's very normal. Looking at my OP right now I can see the same.

My DJII has exactly the same space between the Bezel and the end links.

Looks good from those pics. I'm curious why some people would buy a new watch without 100% certainty that it's authentic. I wouldn't want to be left with those doubts.

Looks good, but weigh it in the ADs next to an SS and you will know for sure.
