Explorer II exploring - Singapore/Tokyo
Just thought I'd share some pics of my trip to Tokyo. First leg in Singapore was quite interesting, I offloaded an old watch at a pre-owned watch dealer and the fellow behind the counter was wearing a 216570.
Big whoop right? Well I kinda geeked out and took a snap because his GMT hand was on 1600hrs and mine was on 0400 hrs. A nice symmetry/parallels thing going on. A bit hazy here, so didn't really get to see anything nice out and about. But came across some nice Benz and a hard to find AP 'Fondation' Royal Oak. Will upload more pics when I touch down in Tokyo. I've missed Japan, amazing how this place is. I don't know a city as old as Tokyo and just as clean!!!
On the flight over I saw a few classy pieces, a Daydate, and a yellow gold GMT Master. Not sure which references but they were older variety, I tried to snap them but opportunity never showed itself. Will add more as I adventure through the city. |

Managed to see a fair bit of Rolex today. Best one for me was a really cool looking Explorer 1016 but I couldn't take a photo of it before the guy went off.
Saw some BLNRs and Subs, an SDc and plenty of DateJusts. And a smart looking White SS Daytona. Pics below, sorry they're not great. |

Classic shots
To be honest I am not sure how I would feel if I caught someone photographing my watch (and me), I would be concerned it was for nefarious reasons

I don't think they did, it was a packed event, press day at the Tokyo Motorshow always is and if they did/do it gives me a chance to ask about their watches and complement them. The few I tried didn't speak great English. So I just pointed to the wrist and gave them a thumbs up after trying. Haha I try my best |

Today I only came across a photographer with a nice black GMT. He said my Exp II was cool.
I went for a walk after work to explore the area near my hotel and came across a place with a nice variety of new and pre-owned Rolex. It was aptly called GMT, and it sits above and below floors of pre-owned and brand new camera equipment. Prices I saw puts them at about the same as Singapore pre-owned that I've seen. Maybe par for some of the brand new ones found at AD back home and Singapore also. No warning letters from Rolex though saying they won't be happy if you flip it. |

Hiya folks, just sharing some pictures of my trip to the countryside nearby Mt Fuji. Had some stuff to do at the Fuji Speedway and one of the gentlemen I met had a nice TT-Sub with the blue dial. He was a great sport, I commented on his watch and then when I was about to leave sgook my hand and said to take a photo together, I thought he meant the two of us but he pointed to his wrist.
Anyways, if you guys ever get the chance to visit this place I highly recommend it. Maybe when they host the Olympics in a few years time. Sorry for not being able to capture the dial of the sub properly I thought I had it but couldn't check and had to rush to the shuttle taking me to a different part of the facility. |

Catching the red eye flight back to Singapore. Didn't see much action today, save for a Pepsi in a vape shop and a small corner in a dept store that only had a handful of DJIIs. Am sad to leave Tokyo, but it's been a blast.
