you can sell it at the sales section here in this forum, craigslist.org, or Ebay.com

Trade in value for a SS Datejust late 2006 model
Hi Everyone,
Just need some help with estimating the trade in value for a watch I am trying to sell. It is a late 2006 datejust Oyster in SS without the fluted bezel. I am trying to trade it in to get a new GMT II ceramic SS watch. The AD is offering me close to 2600 in trade. Granted it is used and does have a scratch here and there, but since I have never sold a Rolex before I am not really sure what I should expect, so any help would be really appreciated. Attached is a pic of the DJ although it isnt that clear or a macro.. cheers |

Here is some links for completed items for reference
http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Stainless-...d=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/MENS-ROLEX-DATEJ...d=p3286.c0.m14 I would not consider $2600 low ball because the dealer will probably turn it around and list is for $4000 + Now, if you do your research on actual private deals on Ebay you will see that your watch realisticly will get about $2800 - $3500 Pretty much it comes down it if someone willing to give you the cash face to face or would you rather go through the hassel of shipping with potential of fraud and lost item |

thanks for your input, my concern is I shouldnt feel like I'm letting go of a watch at a throwaway price although I do love the look and feel of the new GMT II ceramic SS one..
and I think given my hectic work schedule I really might not find the time to try selling it elsewehere and like you said risk losing it or being duped.. just tht sometimes it feels bad to let go of something you have possesed for a while at a low price.. cheers.. |

I hear you...
You should try to list it on Craigslist.org in the FL area you are in for $3000 firm and I think you have a good shot at selling it. I think its a very reasonable price. |
